Delivery Costs and Times

Ordering something special like a Christening outfit for your babies Baptism can be quite a daunting experience, especially if you are one of the thousands of people ordering from outside the UK.

Unlike most online Christening websites, Mischiefkids holds all the heirloom christening collections in stock in our huge stockrooms at our shop and, as we have been trading since 1983 (and online since 1997) we know how important the speed of your delivery is and this is why we aim to despatch your order to you the same day.

Timescales and other delivery information

SPECIAL DELIVERY
Only available to addresses in the UK.
Your parcel will need to be signed for.
Guaranteed delivery by noon the next day to most areas in the UK.
**Working days are Monday to Friday, they do not include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank or Public Holidays. Royal Mail reserves the right to deliver on non-working days, subject to capacity. Later times apply for the remote parts of Scotland.
Tracking available on www.royalmail.com/ your tracking number will be the consignment number shown in your copy invoice sent by email when we despatch your order.
Up to £250 compensation for lost or damaged items as standard (with optional extra cover).

SATURDAY SPECIAL DELIVERY
Please choose this option if you only want a Saturday delivery.
This service is £2.00 more expensive than normal special delivery. This is because Royal Mail charge an extra £2 for this service.
Only available to addresses in the UK.
Your parcel will need to be signed for.
Guaranteed delivery by noon the next Saturday to most areas in the UK.
Later times apply for some remote areas.

Ordinary Airmail
The cheapest option for the majority of countries outside the UK.
Most parcels arrive within 7 to 14 working days but, this is not guaranteed.
We have had the odd parcel take over 28 working days but this is extremely rare.
Your parcel cannot be tracked.
Insured against being lost or damaged but only up to £30.00 GB Pounds
We cannot be responsible for missing or damaged parcels (although these are extremely rare) when you choose this method.
Depending upon what you order and the country you are in, we reserve the right to upgrade you to the 'Ordinary Airmail with signature and insurance' option.

Ordinary Airmail with signature and insurance
The next cheapest option for the majority of countries outside the UK.
Most parcels arrive within 5 to 14 working days but, this is not guaranteed.
We have had the odd parcel take over 28 working days but this is extremely rare.
This service has a limited tracking feature
Insured against being lost or damaged (please see www.royalmail.com for the level of insurance for your country).

UPS Express to the USA and Europe
The most expensive but also the fastest option.
Guaranteed delivery within 2 working days to most areas in the USA and Europe
Guaranteed delivery within 1 working day to most areas in New York and New Jersey

In 'City' type 'LEIGH, LANCASHIRE (this is our location)
In 'Postal Code' type WN71DS (this is our postcode)
In 'Shipped On' you can put today's date but please be aware that we may not be able to dispatch the same day
(this will depend if your full order is in stock, if we have to wait for you to confirm your order and also our time differences)
Fill the destination in with your address details
In the 'Package Information' choose 'NO' to 'Document Shipment'
In 'Customs Value' put the approximate amount of your order excluding delivery charges
You will now see how long your delivery will take from the date you entered (but this may not be the same date as your order is dispatched).

Packaging
When we first started to send our collections out by mail order in 1996 we used to use boxes. Unfortunately this meant that the garments had to be folded and it was also more expensive.
We have now found that garments arrive in much better condition when sent in an 'airmail pack' (even to the UK). The airmail pack is a heavy duty plastic sack (don't worry it does not tear open) and the garments inside are enclosed in their own 'hanger or hanging bag' (please see our other link at the base of this page on garment care and preservation).

Despatching. your Order
We are happy to say that we can despatch most orders the same working day
(depending upon the time your order is received by us).
We do hold lot's of garments in stock but, with such a large choice of styles and sizes (and a very fast turn around time) we may not have every single one available.
Availability is shown just above the ADD button for each size.
If we are not holding stock of the outfit you want when we receive your order we then contact the manufacturer and can usually get any outfit back into stock between 2 days and 8 weeks (depending on the manufacturers schedule) plus delivery time to you. If we cannot fulfill your order for the date required we will let you know quickly. We don't take risks and would sooner lose an order than let you down.

Please bear this in mind when you tell us the date you need your order as we have refused orders in the past only to find that the customer has given us a much earlier date than they actually needed and by the time we have found this out we have sold what they wanted to someone with a later date.

In is in everyones interest to despatch your order as fast as possible even if the date you give us in months in the future. We have a 7 day return policy. This means you need to request a returns number and send your return back with 7 days of delivery (or attempted delivery as we cannot be held responsible for you being out or away for any reason).
