RETURNS POLICY
Mischiefkids is a designer boutique and not a large mail order company so please respect this.
Please see below for restocking fee on 'Choice' orders.
The following does not affect your statutory rights.
You have a right to cancel your order in writing (by email, fax or by post) within 7 days.
This is the date from your order being delivered (or attempted to be delivered if no-one is home to receive the parcel).
To enable us to credit your card within 48 hours you will need to obtain a returns number to put on the outside of your parcel (Customers outside the UK and Europe please see below for further information).
To receive your returns number, please reply to the email we send out when we despatch your order stating:
Which items you wish to return.
The reason for the return.
Once we receive your returns number request we will email you our full returns procedure.
We always reply to a returns number request within 24 working hours, if you do not receive a reply within 24 working hours it means we have not received your email and you need to send it again.
If you phone for a returns number, we give this by phone on the understanding that our full returns policy has been read and agreed to.
If you decide to cancel and return the goods to then you will have to return the goods to us within 7 days from delivery (or attempted delivery), at your own cost, unworn and unmarked and with all the original labels intact (this includes shoe boxes and free gifts) and you have a 'duty of care' over the garments until they are received by us.
Please see below information on restocking fees on late returns.
Goods returned without postage paid will not be accepted.
If you return goods to us that we cannot re-sell for any reason you will need to pay for the cost of having them returned to you or you need to arrange for their collection.
Special Order goods (i.e. goods which we have obtained specially for you) cannot be returned.
If we make an Exception and send out your order for accessories or an accessory only then we will only exchange (if an alternative size for the same item is available) and not refund.
Orders sent out with subsidised delivery costs (i.e where the cost of the delivery was more than the price charged) will have the true cost of delivery deducted from their refund.
The goods we sell are from many different companies and we cannot be responsible for the sizing of any item and we cannot guarantee that anything will fit. We are happy to provide measurements of any goods in stock prior to dispatch and you can use the 'special instructions' box during checkout to request measurements.
The sizes shown on the garment labels may vary from the sizes shown on the garment swing tickets and on the website.
This is usually due to the amount of space available on the garment label.
Sizing on the websites and on garments can be shown in many different ways and, we are unable to show all of these but, for example:
a 3 months sizes is the same as 3/6 months size.
a 2 year size is the same as a 2/3 year size.
and
a 62cms (or any other cms (centimeter)) size (for a dress, top, trouser or any other garment) refers to the height of the child and not the size of the garment.

The colours of products shown on the website can vary depending on monitor settings and the lighting available at the time the photos were taken. Placing an online or telephone order (or place an order by any other means) means you accept this.
Info on 'Choice' orders
A 'choice' order is when you order different sizes or styles so you can choose which one you want and return the other(s).
As we are just a small boutique every day goods are out of the shop (and website) means we have to disappoint other customers who may want them so please do not order more than you intend to keep.
Customers who make a 'choice' order will be charged a re-stocking fee of £10.00 GBP per item deducted from the refund when you return the item(s) not wanted.
Choice orders returned need to be returned within 3 days of delivery (or attempted delivery).
Placing a choice order (either online or by telephone) means you agree with this condition.
We reserve the right to refuse choice orders.
Please think of how it affects other customers when you are making a choice order. It may be some items you want are showing on our website as Sold Out when they have been ordered by someone else on a choice order.
Sorry but we cannot send any choice orders outside of the UK (although in some cases we may make an exception on this).
If you cancel within the period given above then we will credit your credit/debit card within 48 (working) hours of the goods being received in the condition stated above.
We reserve the right not to refund goods that are returned if any of the conditions above and below are not met.
A polite request: Please re-fasten all buttons and fold the garments carefully and do not try to squeeze them into too small a container.
Goods returned within 7 days (3 days on 'choice orders') of delivery (or attempted delivery) will receive a full refund (on the goods, not the postage).
This means you must despatch your return to us within the above period.
Please see info above on restocking fees on 'choice' orders.
For goods returned after 7 days (3 days for 'choice orders') the following will apply so please request a returns number before sending goods back, but again this does not affect your statutary rights:-
- Goods returned 8 to 14 days less 20% restocking/handling fee.
- Choice order goods returned 3 to 7 days less 20% restocking/handling fee.
- Goods returned 14 to 28 days less 50% restocking/handling fee.
- Choice order goods returns 8 to 28 days less 50% restocking/handling fee.
- After 28 days no credit or exchange will be given.
The above applies to refunds and exchanges.
Sorry but we are unable to make any exceptions to the above charges.
Goods returned which are unsaleable or returned outside the returns period will be donated to charity if not collected within 3 months of the original order.
For your own benefit, please obtain compensation/insurance on your return as we cannot exchange/refund for goods not received.
Goods must be returned back in the condition they were sent in and must not be squeezed into tiny packages or returned with lipstick or any other marks on them.
Please ensure your package is properly sealed
We have had goods returned in the original packaging just taped or stapled and these have burst open in transit and the contents have been lost.
Due to the amount of 'fake' designer goods, we cannot accept any goods back without all their labels (or boxes) intact.
Goods returned with marks of any kind will be returned to you at your cost.
Goods returned with any odours (even perfume) will be returned to you at your cost.
Goods returned with excessive creasing due to not being folded or returned in too small a parcel or container will have the cost of professional pressing deducted from the refund.
We cannot credit/exchange/refund for goods returned which we cannot re-sell due to the above (or any other reason) and you will need to pay for them to be returned to you or arrange for a collection.
We cannot be responsible for any email sent to us not being received. If you do not receive a reply within 24 working hours please contact us during business hours by phone.

We will do our best to make sure the goods you order will fit and we are happy to measure garments for you if you have any doubts about the sizing.

If you send an email and do not receive a reply within 2 working days then, either we have not received your email or your email service has not delivered our reply.

Orders from outside the UK and Europe
All the above applies plus....
Goods being returned to the UK will incur duty charges unless Customs and Excise are made aware that your parcel is being returned to the UK and is not an import into this country.
Please do not return goods without receiving a returns number and the returns procedure for returning goods to the UK. If you do send goods back without using our returns procedure and customs charge duty then this will be deducted from your refund.
We always send out a 'Dispatch Notice' email when your order is dispatched and the email you need to reply will have the following at the top of the email:
RE: OUR 7 DAY RETURNS POLICY - IF THIS IS YOUR DESPATCH NOTIFICATION THEN PLEASE KEEP THIS EMAIL + USE IT TO REQUEST A RETURNS NUMBER IF REQUIRED.
Please reply to this email, telling us what you wish to return.
If you have not received (it could be in your spam folder) the Dispatch notice email then please request a returns exchange number by giving the following information:
The name of the person who placed the order
The order transaction number
Where you placed your order i.e. Either the Mischiefkids website (black background with bright colours) or our Christening website (white background with grey or subtle colours)
The items (product name, number & size) you wish to return
